Hello!

Originally from Ohio, I majored in graphic design at the University of Cincinnati as a student in the Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP) program. Since then, I have designed for marketing agencies, universities, non-profit organizations, and corporate clients.

My earliest memory of my interest in graphic design dates back to the third grade. I remember my teacher selecting my poster over my classmates’ because of my hand-lettered typography. In fifth grade, I was elected editor-in-chief of our class newspaper because of my sharp eye for page layout. (Or maybe it was because I knew playing Oregon Trail wasn’t the only use for a computer?) The following year, I sharpened my art directing skills by creating a 100+ page catalog by taking photos, writing captions, and designing the layout. Around that time, I also painted the school name and logo on our gym doors. (I’m almost positive the school asked me to do that.) Finally, in high school, I took a class titled, Graphic Design, and from there my fate was sealed.

Prior to freelancing, I was a designer and art director at several branding and marketing firms, as well as a university. I have been freelancing over the last 12 years and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the best clients in a variety of industries—retail, commercial real estate, life science, hospitality, nonprofits, and sports to name a few.

In addition to my love of all things design, I enjoy exercise, playing tennis, golfing, shopping, and hanging out with my family and friends. I’ve lived in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida.

I’m a wife to the most loyal man and mama to the two most incredible children. I run on coffee, to-do lists, and competition. (I only take tennis lessons to be able to beat my husband.) I’ve been told that my handwriting looks like a font, I love to organize and make things look pretty though my desk is a mess 80% of the time, and I’m usually halfway through multiple audio books at any given moment.
